Synopsis
Simon, consumed by guilt after the sudden death of his wife Lizzy, sets out on a journey she never lived to finish — across the country to her estranged father, Finbar. As an act of penance he carries a crudely made Celtic cross, and each night writes letters to Lizzy and attaches them to it.
Forced off his route and into contact with strangers, Simon is misread. They believe he is performing small miracles and dub him "The Ginger Jesus." Stories of hope and healing are left in his wake, and people begin attaching their own letters to his cross.
Burdened by expectations he cannot meet, Simon finally reaches Finbar's — only to be turned away by the one person he came to see, and delivered straight into the hands of an agitated mob.
